Getting the best light. The golden hour is a photographer’s best friend when taking outdoor pictures. Avoid sunny midday, when the sun casts harsh shadows. I love the time just before sunset. Sunrise is even better, especially since summer temperatures are worst in the early evening in Texas. I have had success getting people to snow up for a shoot at 7:00 AM.
This soft, gold-hued light is very forgiving, and you couldn’t ask for better conditions.
